Cisco Certification

In the CCNA course the student will be able to define routing protocols, describe the switching process; describe routing requirements of remote and central nstallations and list appropriate router models; understand in depth knowledge of IpV4 and a basic understanding of IpV6; describe the steps of the startup sequence; define the Cisco IOS and the CLI; list commands to load Cisco IOS software from flash memory, a TFTP server; define functions and procedures for router configuration, given a multi-router computer lab, check an initial configuration using the setup command, log in to a router in both user and privileged modes, prepare to backup, upgrade Cisco IOS software image, configure and verify IP addresses, prepare the initial router configuration and enable IP, and add RIP, IGRP, EIGRP, OSPF protocols to the configuration, all with complete accuracy.

The student will also be able to describe LAN segmentation using routers and switches; describe procedures and options for designing a LAN; describe techniques for configuring a router to use IP; use and implement extended and named / extended access lists, describe procedures to verify and monitor access lists and manage traffic; describe methods of firewall implementation using routers; define cut-through and store-and-forward LAN switching; describe specifications of Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet options; describe VLAN benefits, implementation methods, and communication; define the Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) and its uses.

The student will be able to list common devices for a WAN infrastructure; list types of WAN connectivity; list commands to configure Frame Relay LMIs, given a multiple router / computer lab, configure specified IP addresses and encapsulation type; configure standard access lists and extended access lists for IP traffic; monitor and verify access list operations as specified; given two scenarios describing real-world network problems, identify the factor(s) responsible and recommend (and justify) a solution.

Advanced Routers and Switches will be coming for CCNA Class.
A wide range TEN (3600 and 2500 Routers and 2900 Series .
