Fiona Bollag, who came from a world of silence
- Fiona Bollag came into this world unable to hear, had to lip-read every
word, had no idea what music sounded like. Then, at the age of 16, thanks
to modern medicine, she was given a newly developed implant – and suddenly
Fiona was living in a completely different world. Her book tells the
story of a young, lively woman whose life testifies to the fact that
hearing is a gift – but also that the years of silence were a gift. Because
they prepared her to take on the world with all her senses! An emotional
book, not only for over 300,000 deaf humans in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
