Intensive Communication Course
Learn American English in the USA at PC Tech’s New York City language school. Intensive English programs full and part-time including cultural program activities in NYC.
Our Pedagogical English program is available for students that want English Language instruction with an approach that complies with using four specific skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing.
Our courses utilize this art of teaching which encompasses pronunciation,
vocabulary building and conversational activities using grammar
contextually.
We also offer extra-curricular academic activities: historical
trips, visits to museums, “special guest” visits and the thorough
look at life in New York City to help engage our students in verbal
exploration for the improvement of their English skills.
Teaching methods of Learn American English
We base our curriculum on the audiolingual method as well as the monologue method to improve spoken English by utilizing listening, speaking and talking with each other, through rote repetition, read alouds, call and response and basic conversation between students and instructors
How to decide your American English level?
Students are given a proficiency test which is also authorized by BEST TEST before the first day of starting to determine their level of instruction that is needed.
Levels and learning English contents
1. Beginner : You will learn all of your basic needs of ESL through grammar and dialogue with your teacher and fellow students.
2. Intermediate : You will have a better grasp of the English language by delivering monologues and sharing your comments after presentations.
3. High – Intermediate : You will intensify your educational experience while working in group activities that allow you to develop a rhythm and flow to your pronunciation which will help your brain get accustomed to the sound of American English and aid in your writing.
4. Advanced : You will acheive an elevated level of English which will allow you to participate in classroom discussions on various topics. Your listening and speaking skills will be crafted in the classroom so that you can easily interact and communicate with native English speakers. Our course works intensively on accent reduction and correct enunciation.
