A wonderful place to bring a blanket and relax. The people watching is fantastic. You’ll see sun bathers, yoga classes, people playing catch, picnics, etc. The city view is beautiful and in the early spring, the whole place smells like lilacs from the bushes surrounding the space. Thank you Pc Tech students for make it so fun.

Every Tuesday is FREE so venture out, and take in all the lush greenery.   The place is tranquil and just a sight to behold. Absolutely beautiful and well maintain garden. Japanese pond garden is beautiful as always, there are turtles at the pond. Saturday between 10 to noon is free(but not on the Sakura Matsuri Event). Staff are very nice, friendly and helpful. if you want to find a spacious refuge in this concrete jungle?  You can find that here with out a doubt. Thanks everyone who went with Pc Tech, hope you had a great time….

Why not for some sunshine and nature after a week of workload or on leisure with your family, love ones, etc? I would strongly recommend this garden to everybody, especially during spring time in cherry blossom season. Finally this year we get to go. So Pc Tech take your best camera to take the best pictures ever. Join us tomorrow Friday at 11am.

Unexpected and mysterious. That’s exactly how we’re going to sum up Erwin Olaf’s new photographic series ‘Berlin’

We fell instantly into a voyeuristic journey as we peeked through the shadows into the beautifully-composed images that looked not unlike Vermeer paintings – think ‘Girl with a Pearl Earring’, whilst wandering around the intimate space created by the gallery.  It came as no surprise then, to hear that last year Olaf received the highest cultural recognition by the Dutch government: the Vermeer Prize. Olaf’s painstakingly detailed images host an array of characters so imposing and persuasive that we almost expected them to walk out of the frame and wander around the gallery. And the grand elements that inform the backdrop to every photo and the charming awkwardness of the characters, made the final images appear enchanting, rich and luxurious. Thank you to all of you who joined me to this exhibition.

Brooklyn Museum

April 18, 2013

A museum that offers as much class, culture, and clash as Brooklyn itself.
The crown jewels for me are:
1) The museum’s amazing collection of Rodin sculpture.
2) Anything in the museum by Kehinde Wiley.  Traditional stuffy art transformed into “street smart” art.  Brilliant on so many levels.

Last time I was there i had an amazing experience. The exhibit itself was kind of amazing. It really humanized Keith Haring in a way that feels different from most art exhibits where artists are usually distanced and placed on pedestals. You got to see photos of him just hanging out at parties, videos of him creating art, his notebooks full of musings and sketches. It was pretty neat.

5 pointz

April 11, 2013
VERY COOL. Definitely worth the trip outside of Manhattan — and it was so easy to get to. I was thrown off with the 7 train being out of service on the weekends, but the E and M both get you to your destination with only a two-block walk outside the station.

Even if you aren’t an art person, 5 Pointz will wow you. Every time you turn the corner to discover a new part of the building, you’re blown away by the collection of unique artists. Some of the stuff I couldn’t even believe my eyes — so much detail, craftsmanship, and creativity.

5 points!

April 4, 2013
Just blocks from P.S. 1 is 5 Pointz, the Institute of Higher Burnin’. Not a museum or gallery, 5 Pointz is a living collage of graffiti art covering a converted warehouse full of artist studios. The art of famous and novice graffiti artists covers the building’s facade, all done with the encouragement of the building’s owner. It’s a well-known sight from the elevated 7 subway, which runs behind 5 Pointz. join us tomorrow Friday at 11am.
