CompTIA Security+ Learning Contents=General Security Concepts=
The student will identify the various aspects of computer security and will
be introduced to the basic concepts of computer security, Understand the risks
an organization faces and the steps needed to be taken in order to minimize
those risks.
=Infrastructure and Connectivity=
The student will be able to identify a variety of media and devices that facilitate
communication and provide security, they also will be able to define the devices
work and how they work or how they also FAIL to provide adequate security,
infrastructure and media.
=Implementing Working and Maintaining a Secure Network=
The student will be able to define the different Operating Systems, Network
products and applications, the process of reducing or eliminating weakness,
securing services and an attempt to make the environment safer from attacks,
also develop issues of threats to the network; they shall define the process
to address the physical environment and business by evaluating physical security
issues such as access controls, physical barriers, and biometric systems.
Social engineering issues and environmental issues so that the systems are
safe and operational.
=Cryptography Basics, Methods and Standards=
The student will be able to list the different forms of cryptography and how
they are used in the computer field; ways to protect private information from
unauthorized access and exploitation. In addition they shall list the algorithms
used, the methods encryption is used today, Public key infrastructure and
some of the attacks to which the cryptographic systems are vulnerable to.
